Qualifications
1. B. S or equivalent
2. Minimum 5 years experience on Sybase as a DBA/Database
Developer
handling database sizes > 50 GB is a must. Experience on Windows
desirable
3. Expertise in Sybase database backup and maintenance procedures
a
must
4. Experience in database modeling tools like ERWin
5. Expertise in Software Development Cycles a must
6. Experience in application data upgrades as a result of schema
changes a must
Job Description
Streamline existing data migration processes to reduce customer
downtimes
Tune queries involved in data conversion for performance
Work with site engineers to gather new requirements
Implement new data storage mechanisms if necessary
Evaluate tools to perform data migration
